Tipologie di miele: mille sfumature di gusto

Types of honey: a thousand shades of flavor

Honey types are mainly divided into monofloral and multifloral. Monofloral honey is predominantly derived from a single botanical species, such as acacia, chestnut, lime, or citrus. Multifloral honey, on the other hand, is made from the collection of different nectars.

Each honey has unique characteristics: acacia honey is clear and delicate, chestnut honey is dark and bitter, while citrus honey has an intense, floral aroma. The color can range from almost transparent to dark brown.

The differences are not only organoleptic, but also nutritional. The composition depends on the floral source and the terroir.

Choosing a specific type of honey means choosing a different sensory experience and enhancing local biodiversity.
