Api: perché sono fondamentali per il pianeta

Bees: Why They Are Essential to the Planet

Bees are among the most important insects for life on Earth. Without them, most of the plants we know could not reproduce. Bees belong to the order Hymenoptera and live in organized colonies with well-defined roles. Their main activity is collecting nectar and pollen, but their greatest contribution is pollination.

Bees communicate with each other through movements called "waggle dances," which indicate to their fellow bees where to find food sources. They are extremely sensitive to environmental changes and therefore serve as an indicator of ecosystem health.

In recent years, the decline of bees has caused great concern due to pesticides, climate change, and biodiversity loss. Protecting bees means protecting the entire food chain and ensuring global food security.

Bees don't just produce honey: they are silent guardians of biodiversity and invisible protagonists of our survival.
